Description

As an Sr. Account Manager – Graphic Packaging and Displays with Liberty Packaging, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our business by identifying and capturing new business opportunities across the retail and graphics sectors. Your primary focus will be on expanding our market share through the acquisition of new customers and securing competitive regional CPG accounts. This role is heavily oriented towards proactive business development, leveraging market insights, competitive positioning, and strategic execution to win new business. You will be responsible for developing and executing a go-to-market strategy that enhances private label brands, accelerates client growth, and drives profitability for LDI. You will also be tasked with cultivating and maintaining long-term customer relationships.
This full-time hybrid position reports directly to the Director of Sales - Southwest and is based in the Poway, CA area, with consistent travel throughout the Southwest. 
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • In partnership with the Director of Sales, build and execute a sales and marketing strategy to capture new business with existing customers and identify new customers in a variety of new and emerging industries. 
  • Cultivate strategic relationships with channel leading retailers (club/discount, mass, e-commerce, home improvement, drug, grocery, sporting/ outdoor, & automotive) with focus on private label brands. Leverage insights to bring insight to national CPGs (e.g. white space, flexibility to go outside of styles guides, etc.) 
  • Drive new sales opportunities by identifying and effectively pursuing key decision-makers. Execute traditional and go-to-market sales strategies to capture market share, improve profit margin, and deliver untapped value for our customers. 
  • Initiate customer relationships and close business utilizing a proven sales process. 
  • Leverage our graphic packaging capabilities as you work closely with our talented internal teams, including design, pricing, customer service, production, procurement, and logistics, to design custom packaging solutions that meet our customers’ needs. 
  • Manage customer expectations and provide excellent customer service experience. 
  • Monitor market, customer, and consumer trends that impact the business. 
  • Other duties, as assigned.  
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS 
  • High school diploma / GED equivalent from an accredited institution and 5+ related sales experience or equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • Experience planning, implementing, and analyzing new sales strategies 
  • Strong prospecting and business development skills 
  • Excellent communication skills and superior resolution and decision-making skills 
  • Results-oriented with a sense of urgency; motivated by success 
  • Ability to work independently and committed to meeting deadlines 
  • Ability to travel locally outside of home office up to 75% of the time, occasionally with extended and overnight travel.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS 
  • Experience with Graphic Packaging and Displays

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
The starting base salary range for this position is $125,000 - $200,000 per year. This position is also eligible for milage reimbursement. The compensation posted is the anticipated pay for the position at the time of the posting. We may pay above or below posted amount based on several factors, including, but not limited to education and/or certifications, skills, experience, or work location.  Some positions may qualify for additional compensation in the form of bonuses.
