What is a night corrugated packaging job?

Night corrugated packaging jobs typically involve working overnight shifts in facilities that produce or handle corrugated cardboard packaging. Responsibilities may include assembling boxes, inspecting packaging for quality, operating machinery, and preparing shipments for delivery. These positions are essential for keeping supply chains active around the clock and often require attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work independently. Night shifts may offer higher pay rates due to the less desirable hours, and safety protocols are especially important during these hours.

To thrive as a Night Corrugated Packaging Operator, you generally need a high school diploma or equivalent, good manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to follow safety procedures. Familiarity with packaging machinery, basic computer systems, and knowledge of quality control standards are typically required, sometimes supported by forklift certification. Strong teamwork, reliability, and effective communication are valuable soft skills in this role. These skills ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality packaging operations during overnight shifts.

What are common challenges faced by employees working night shifts in corrugated packaging, and how can they be addressed?

Working night shifts in corrugated packaging often presents challenges such as adjusting to a nocturnal sleep schedule, maintaining alertness, and ensuring effective communication with daytime teams. Job description

Outside Sales Representative – New Business Development – B2B Packaging
Stevens Point, WI Area | Home Every Night | Uncapped Commission
Are you a true hunter who loves winning new business face-to-face? Do you prefer knocking on doors, building relationships, and creating opportunities in the field instead of sitting behind a desk making cold calls?
L&M Corrugated Container Corporation is a fast-growing custom corrugated packaging company seeking a driven Outside Sales Representative to grow business throughout the Stevens Point region and western Wisconsin. This role focuses on a daily drivable territory, with opportunities to pursue business across Wisconsin and surrounding states. This position is open due to growth.
This is a field-based B2B sales role focused on prospecting, developing new business, and growing customer relationships. You’ll spend your time meeting with manufacturers and businesses in person, identifying packaging opportunities, winning accounts, and managing those relationships long term.
We specialize in quick-turn, custom corrugated packaging solutions and serve customers who value responsiveness, flexibility, and service. We are not chasing massive national accounts — we win by being fast, nimble, and customer-focused.
What We’re Looking For

  • True hunter mentality with strong new business development skills
  • Motivated, competitive, and self-driven
  • Comfortable with daily travel and in-person prospecting
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong follow-through
  • B2B outside sales experience preferred

What We Offer
  • Competitive base salary + uncapped commission
  • 4% commission structure after covering base
  • Strong earning potential
  • Medical, Dental, Life, HSA, and 401(k)
  • Supportive team and growth-focused culture
  • Home most nights with a drivable territory

At L&M, our promise is simple:
“What you want, when you want it. Packaging made simple.”
If you are a high-energy sales professional who wants the freedom to build business, control your income, and work with a company growing fast, we want to hear from you
