In this role, you'll help bring new facilities, renovations, and campus improvements to life while working closely with architects, contractors, engineers, internal clients, and campus partners across UNM.

Conditions of Employment
  • Possession of a valid New Mexico driver's license is a requirement for this job.
  • Successful candidate must submit to post-offer, pre-employment physical examination and medical history check.

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; at least 8 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing multiple construction or renovation projects simultaneously from design through construction and closeout.
  • Experience coordinating architects, engineers, contractors, and institutional stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Experience reviewing construction drawings and specifications for constructability, completeness, and code compliance.
  • Experience administering construction contracts including review of pay applications, change orders, and contractor schedules.
  • Experience overseeing construction work in occupied facilities and coordinating project impacts such as utility outages, access restrictions, and safety considerations.
  • Experience tracking project budgets, schedules, and cost projections and reporting project status to leadership or clients.
