Being a MxU Construction Manager at PRG is a unique opportunity for the well-versed in outside & inside plant telecommunications, bringing the best parts of the traditional job. Our MxU Construction Managers are well-versed in outside/inside plant telecommunications. Because of the growing demand in high-speed cable, we are searching for a teammate who's committed to working on a long-term project to bring our customer over the finish line. PRG has a top client in your area that's got a project that will allow you to spend your days in both the field and the office.
Overall Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate MxU construction with internal and external parties.
  • Coordinate Site Surveys/Pre-Construction meetings with the property ownership or management.
  • Support the MxU Construction Management Function in managing the deployment of the Clients FTTH MxU construction.
  • Interface with the Clients MxU team coordinating project construction activities, administrative requirements, and other general project management tasks.
  • Monitor quality assurance, schedule commitments, troubleshooting and final turnover to operations.
  • Work cross-functionally to design and build scalable construction, installation, and support processes.
  • Innovate our means and methods with potential to change industry standards.
  • Facilitate broad collaboration with clear communication and documentation.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings, identifying action items and driving to successful completion.
  • Analyze data using logic and reason to make sound decisions/recommendations.
  • Build positive relationships and trust over time through strong on-time delivery of projects, high quality continuous innovation, and by exceeding expectations.

Experience:
  • Must have 3+ years of hands-on experience in fiber construction
  • Educated on local area dig laws
  • Preferred college degree in Construction Management or Engineering

Skills and abilities:
  • Strong leadership skills to mentor and influence subcontractors and vendors
  • Customer service acumen to interpret, communicate, and help deliver client needs
  • Impressive ability to organize and prioritize projects
  • Strong understanding of fiber and coax engineering
  • Computer proficiency and Microsoft tools to create, manage, and present data and reporting to various stakeholders and management
  • Strong communication skills and ability to adjust delivery to your audience verbally and in writing
  • Willingness to use your vehicle in the field (mileage reimbursement at the standard federal rate)
  • Interested and able to work overtime occasionally to meet project demands
  • Perform job functions both indoors and outdoors rain or shine
  • Must be able to walk extensively, sit, stand, and climb stairs throughout the day
