Wage Range: $11.75-12.75/hour

Description of the Position: (Purpose of the Position):ย 

As a paper-grader you will generate student scores and likely have access to other scores on websites or in spreadsheets.

Duties and Responsibilities:ย 

It is the responsibility of paper-graders to do their best to follow grading guidelines, to understand that there may be more than one viable way to solve a given problem, to finish each job in a timely fashion (usually before the next class period unless a different plan has been made), to ask for clarification when necessary, and to communicate on a regular basis with your faculty member supervisor.ย The faculty member will be able to tell you exactly how/where grades will be stored and assignments will be transferred to you, and back again.ย The faculty member will also be in charge of letting you know how to access answer keys, when available.

If, for any reason, you will be unavailable to complete one or more grading sessions, you must let the course instructor know as early as possible and help them determine if a substitute can be found.

If you will have trouble maintaining an unbiased view of student work due to situations such as having close friends in the course for which you grade, please consult with your supervisor. Under no conditions should you be grading papers of someone who you are dating. Please advise your supervisor of the problem immediately. Do not begin a romantic relationship with a student in the course for which you grade.
