Applicants must posses a Top Secret Clearance for consideration - higher clearance level can be held Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Software Developer to support a mission critical Intelligence Community program based in Herndon, VA. This is a full time, onsite position due to specific program requirements. This role supports the development and sustainment of enterprise and mission applications in a high-visibility, fast-paced environment. As a Software Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, integrating, and maintaining software solutions that directly support operational mission needs. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain software solutions using Java to support business and mission applications. Leverage knowledge of computer hardware, software, and information processing techniques to implement effective system solutions. Work closely with system users and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate operational needs into technical implementations. Analyze system capabilities and limitations to resolve questions related to program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and system controls. Identify, troubleshoot, and correct program errors; document software development activities and changes. Ensure established software development standards are defined, implemented, and consistently met. Support integration and sustainment of Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and Free/Open Source Software (FOSS) solutions. Operate across multiple operating system environments, including Linux and Windows. Adapt to evolving user requirements and support dynamic mission needs. Qualifications: Active Top Secret (TS) or TS/SCI clearance
