Job description

Tele-Consultants, Inc. (TCI) is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our team in support of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT). Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: โ€ข Provide Software Lab build support, may require hand carrying of equipment and cable connections to set up for testing
โ€ข Modify and maintain existing applications, develop user interfaces, integrate new hardware/radios into โ€ข RDT&E tasking to include integrating different radios into government software
โ€ข Assist with documenting software changes, test procedures, and test reports โ€ข Attend technical meetings as needed Minimum Education and Experience:
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or Mathematics with field of concentration in computer science from an accredited university
โ€ข 3+ years of professional experience in computer design, software development, or computer networks
โ€ข Secret Clearance required Qualifications:
โ€ข Proficient in Linux, more specifically Red Hat Enterprise Linux
โ€ข Proficient in C++, especially GUI development
โ€ข Ability to work independently and with a team The primary location for performance of the work will be in Newport, RI with occasional travel required within the continental United States.
