This position will support all aspects of government property management for 40,000 line items of high\-value government property, including NASA's space suits, ancillary equipment, and flight crew equipment. This includes building and maintaining a high\-trust relationship with the company's customer and the NASA government property administrator and solving problems on a daily basis related to managing this collection of government property.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

  • The applicant should be familiar with all 15 functions of government property management according to the FAR and NASA FAR Supplement, including Acquisition, Disposition, Records, Property Management, Physical Inventory, Sub\-contract, Reports, Movement, Consumption, Utility, Maintenance, Receiving, Identification, Storage, and Contract Close Out, with an emphasis on the following subset of those functions: Reports, Records, Property Management, & Physical Inventory.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  • The applicant will assist with maintaining property records and databases and preparation of various reports, forms, and metrics.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  • The applicant must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  • The applicant must be able to work with a property management computer database application, which provides data entry forms and reports to support all facets of property management.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

  • The applicant must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and must demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate with technical professionals, including government property administrators, engineers, and management.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
