Who you are
Metropolis is seeking a People Operations Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will focus on managing employee data, supporting new hire onboarding and orientation, handling various HR inquiries, and assisting with reporting.
What you'll do
  • Manage and respond to inquiries from employees and managers across multiple HR and payroll inboxes
  • Accurately enter and maintain employee information in HRIS systems, including AS400 and Dayforce, for transfers, promotions, salary changes, and terminations
  • Facilitate the new hire process from ICIMS to the AS400, ensuring timely and accurate onboarding data
  • Review and verify employee change documents to ensure completeness and proper authorization
  • Sort incoming mail and process payroll-related documents, including garnishments and requests, for upload to ADP
  • Actively participate in cross-training initiatives across various People Operations functions to develop a broad understanding of the department
  • Assist with the creation and distribution of daily, weekly, and monthly HR and payroll reports
  • Take ownership of and contribute to special projects as assigned, gaining exposure to various People Operations initiatives
  • Assist in the organization and set-up of New Metropolite Orientation (NMO), our onboarding program, including coordinating the IT setup
What we're looking for
  • 1+ years of professional experience within a corporate setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets; as well as familiarity with Google Workspace
  • Basic understanding of HR/People data management
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Eagerness to learn HRIS systems (AS400, Dayforce, ICIMS) and reporting tools
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to transform static workflows into responsive, high-output processes

The anticipated base pay for this position is $27.00 USD to $33.00 USD hourly. The actual base pay offered is determined by a number of variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location of residence and/or place of employment. Base pay is one component of Metropolis' total compensation package, which may also include access to or eligibility for healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a lucrative stock option plan, bonus plans, and more. #LI-AW1 #LI-Onsite
