Job description

Job Summary

As the People Operations Coordinator you'll help people operations run smoothly by handling day-to-day administrative and people-focused tasks. You’ll help coordinate recruiting and onboarding, maintain employee records, support benefits administration, and assist with team initiatives that make Ologie a great place to work. This role is a great fit for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, proactive, a clear communicator, and genuinely enjoys supporting others in a collaborative and inclusive environment.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Coordinate recruitment activities, including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates and hiring teams.
  • Assist with new-hire onboarding, preparing orientation materials, scheduling sessions, and ensuring all required documentation is completed.
  • Maintain and update employee information in the HRIS, including data entry, audits, and report generation.
  • Support benefits administration by helping with enrollments, reconciliation, and communications with employees and vendors.
  • Coordinate employee recognition efforts, including milestone moments and life events, and maintain accurate records of recognition activities.
  • Support maintenance of the company’s intranet, keeping policies, communications, and resources current and easy to find for employees.
  • Assist in performance management processes by tracking deadlines and supporting leaders and employees as needed.
  • Maintain HR-related files, documentation, and communications in an organized and accurate manner, ensuring confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Provide administrative support to the people operations team, including scheduling, document preparation, and day-to-day coordination.
  • Support special projects and initiatives, helping ensure deadlines are met and projects run smoothly.

To be successful in this role, our preference is that you:

  • Have 1 or more years of experience in human resources, with at least two years of experience as a generalist, manager, or similar role.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks at once.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of HRIS systems and/or ability to quickly learn new technologies.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Collaborative, proactive, and eager to support a small, fast-paced team.
  • Interest in developing a career in people operations and supporting a positive, inclusive workplace.

You’ll stand out to us if you:

  • Have a bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
  • Have experience in supporting small to midsize professional services organizations.
  • Are proficient in Google Workspace (including Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Calendar, and Meet).

Don’t meet all of our preferences? Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification. At Ologie, we are dedicated to building a diverse and inclusive workplace, so if you’re excited about this role, but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification listed above, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be just the right candidate for this role or another.

  • Ologie operates under a hybrid working model. This means that you may choose to work from home, or from our office in Columbus, Ohio, or some combination of the two. For this position, candidates must be based in the greater Columbus, OH area.
  • The salary range for this position is $50,000 to $60,000. Your final salary will be determined based on your training, relevant experience, and location.
