  • Support Machine Learning experts in language specific areas for our target language (US English). These include creating grammars, providing language data, annotation for various NLP projects, writing documentation and guidelines, reviewing data and test results and proposing improvements and new features.
  • Perform tasks such as translation, localization, data annotation, phonetic transcription, speech synthesis, machine translation, natural utterance generation, grammar checking, ASR transcription, automation, text mining and other NLP related tasks.
  • Research, plan, and document product features for a variety of audiences, such as software developers, IT admins, sales engineers and end users.
  • Identify and resolve issues relating to documentation, project schedules, structure, design, and deliverables.

Required Qualifications:

  • Native speaker of US English with strong knowledge of grammar, spelling and syntax.
  • Proficiency in Spanish with strong knowledge of grammar, spelling and syntax.
  • Experience in translation and/or localization for English and Spanish
  • Ability to maintain focus on repetitive testing and data review tasks for long time-periods.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and advocate the craft with internal stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with voice assistants (Bixby, Siri, Google Assistant, Alexa, Cortana, etc.) on a regular basis.
  • Expert ability to aggressively seek out, distill, and learn technical information from internal worldwide development teams, explain it to other team members, and then document it in the appropriate delivery target (developer guide, whitepaper, tutorial, blog, etc.).
  • Stay current with trends and new tools and technologies in the Android and mobile device ecosystem.
  • Familiarity with smart home devices and Internet of Things.
  • Ability to quickly learn new tools and software in a Windows environment.
  • Ability to understand and create use-cases that developer can use to implement new product features.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and maintain high content quality in a fast-paced, constantly changing dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in computational linguistics or natural language processing.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computational linguistics, Linguistics Experience in a voice assistant software environment or equivalent academic setting.
  • Scripting, programming, database experience (Python, Pandas, NumPy, SQL, Regular Expressions).
  • Knowledge of US English linguistics (specifically syntax, semantics, and phonetics) and natural language processing.
  • Demonstrated ability to write documentation for developers, SMEs, and IT personnel that is clear, concise, consistent, and accurate.
  • Experience in US English localization.
  • Experience in Voice UX design and dialog management.
  • Expertise with data analysis and ability Microsoft Excel functions and macros.
  • Experience with content management tools (e.g., SharePoint, Confluence, Perforce, Git).
  • Experience with developer tools (e.g., Android Studio, Jira).
  • Software QA/testing experience.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree preferably in Linguistics

Compensation: $35 - $47.97 per hour
