Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia & the CSRA (GIMG) seeks a dynamic, experienced, and mission-driven Vice President of Development & Communications (VPDC) to support and execute enterprise-wide fundraising, communications, public relations, and brand initiatives.
This leadership opportunity is within a growing $70+ million mission-driven nonprofit operating across workforce development, education, and community impact. In addition to Goodwills retail enterprise, our organization's portfolio includes Helms College, a premier workforce education provider offering certificate and degree programs through an immersive, applied learning model that integrates education with social enterprise, including Edgar's Hospitality Group.

The Role
Reporting to the President/CEO, the VPDC serves as the executive leader of organization's development and communications strategy and execution in alignment with the 2030 Strategic Plan.
Leadership Profile
The successful candidate will bring demonstrated experience in fundraising, donor engagement, and communications leadership, with the ability to support and execute strategies that drive organizational growth and community impact. This individual will have proven experience:
  • Supporting major gift initiatives, corporate partnerships, and grant funding efforts
  • Managing communications and public relations campaigns and systems
  • Strengthening donor relationships and stewardship practices
  • Build a high-performing, multi-dimensional Goodwill Works Foundation
