What will you be doing:

The Global Initiatives Manager is responsible for leading sophisticated, cross-functional projects to drive Cedars-Sinai's international strategy, with a particular focus on establishing and growing partnerships with hospitals, universities, and government entities globally. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong ability to be responsible for multiple international initiatives, drive operational excellence, and ensure the highest standards of quality and patient care. This position manages projects across multiple countries using tools and standard methodologies to ensure that each project is completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of key partners. This role requires a deep understanding of Cedars-Sinai's mission and the ability to work collaboratively across departments, functions, and global partners to meet strategic goals.

The Global Initiatives Manager will implement projects and will also play a critical role in developing regional strategies, stakeholder management, and business growth.

The Global Initiatives Manager will work closely with Cedars-Sinai leadership and various departments to ensure project alignment with institutional goals, cultural sensitivity in approach, and successful delivery of outcomes.

  • Lead and manage high-value projects spanning multiple countries, ensuring adherence to regional goals and global standards. Help develop and implement regional project strategies, balancing global objectives with local nuances.
  • Be responsible for country-specific projects, customizing approaches to align with local regulatory environment, healthcare landscape, and market dynamics.
  • Establish frameworks for project execution at the country and regional level, driving consistency and quality across borders.
  • Partner with the Executive Director of Global Business and Corporate Development to identify new market opportunities, support regional expansions, and align project goals with long-term business growth.
  • Serve as regional project leader, advising senior leadership on project viability, resource allocation, and risk management in key regions.
  • Lead project scoping, case development, and project prioritization aligned with regional growth strategies.
  • Work with key collaborators to manage the deployment and completion of all aspects and stages of the project assigned. Organize project teams as needed and assign responsibilities, develop project schedules, and determine resource requirements. Ensure requirements are managed and delivered per project timeline, and identify and mitigate risks for implementation. Partner with leadership to assess, track and resolve risks.
  • Develop and document plans that ensure all vital preparation, execution tasks and dependencies are identified and included. Ensure that resources and skills are allocated for project success. Assess needs, evaluate solutions, make recommendations, andadvance to senior leaders/key team members, if needed.
  • Lead large-scale, sophisticated international projects through completion across an entire region(s), ensuring alignment with Cedars-Sinai's mission and values.
  • Partner with senior team members, including global healthcare providers, academic institutions, and government bodies, to design and implement initiatives that expand Cedars-Sinai's presence and service delivery in key regions.
  • Operate as a full cross-functional leader/member of the project team by supporting project leadership and other team members with resolving obstacles, ensuring collaboration between teams, and providing project updates and communication.
  • Develop detailed project plans, objectives, timelines, and metrics in collaboration with cross-functional teams and oversee project budgeting, resource allocation, and financial performance, ensuring project costs remain within approved budgets and expected ROI.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for senior leadership and international partners, providing updates on project status, achievements, and performance metrics.
  • Coordinate the operationalization of new programs and services with internal and external customers to ensure smooth project delivery and sustainable outcomes.

Experience Requirements:

Seven (7) plus years of experience in project management within healthcare, international business, or related sectors, with at least 3 years in a project management role.

Experience working in multicultural environments or managing international projects is highly preferred.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Health care, Business Administration, or a related field.
