Position Summary:
The Project Specialist plays a key role in supporting the financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis functions of the organization. This position partners closely with finance, clinical, operational, and leadership teams to deliver timely, accurate, and actionable financial insights that support strategic decision-making across the enterprise. The role is responsible for developing and maintaining financial models, budgets, forecasts, and performance dashboards; analyzing trends in census, revenue, and cost drivers; and translating complex financial data into clear, meaningful information for a wide range of stakeholders.
Position Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Advanced Excel and spreadsheet skills; ability to manipulate, analyze, and present complex data.
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems, reporting tools, and healthcare financial concepts.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate financial data into practical, operational insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to non-financial audiences.
  • Strong customer service orientation and collaborative mindset.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly organized with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic healthcare environment.
  • Knowledge of healthcare or hospice finance is preferred.
