Job Description

The Just Transformations to Sustainability (JTS) Initiative at Notre Dame advances a distinctive model of sustainability rooted in hope, justice, and human flourishing. In partnership with the Holy See and the Laudato si' Center for Higher Education, we are launching the Global Alliance for Laudato si', an international network of mission-aligned researchers and practitioners dedicated to advancing integral ecology through world-class scholarship and action.

Work closely with the Laudato si' Center for Higher Education on convening logistics.
  • Resource Mobilization: Lead and support proposal development for Global Alliance activities, targeting a diverse set of potential funding sources, including corporations, foundations, and private benefactors. Represent the Global Alliance internally and externally. Collaborate with JTS leadership, Notre Dame's Department of Development, and other University partners to raise and steward funds for the Global Alliance.
  • Partnership and Network Cultivation: Serve as the JTS Initiative's primary liaison to the Laudato si' Center for Higher Education, cultivating a relationship grounded in mutual trust, clear communication, and shared ownership. Work closely with Center counterparts to define and operationalize a network engagement strategy to keep members informed and involved in Global Alliance activities. Maintain network databases, coordination network membership processes, and support external communications. Diversify and strengthen the Global Alliance's network of researchers, practitioners, and community leaders, emphasizing the inclusion of marginalized and commonly underrepresented actors.
