Job description

At CJ Schwan's, we don't just make food - we help create moments that matter. From kids devouring pizza after soccer practice, to students laughing over dumplings in a cafeteria, to families enjoying pie during the holidays, our team members play an important role in bringing those everyday moments to life. Our portfolio includes iconic pizzas, global flavors and timeless desserts from brands like Red Baron®, bibigo®, Tony's®, Big Daddy's®, Freschetta®, Pagoda®, Edwards® and Mrs. Smith's®. Enjoyed in homes, schools, restaurants and just about everywhere people shop and eat, our products reflect a commitment to quality, innovation and the power of food to bring people together.
We're looking for someone who is passionate about developing people, thrives in a collaborative environment, and enjoys balancing consulting, instructional design, facilitation, and learning technology. As a Learning & Development (L&D) Business Partner, you will play a key role in building the capabilities that drive business performance and growth. Partnering closely with business leaders, sales leadership, HR, and L&D colleagues, you will identify development opportunities and create learning solutions that strengthen individual, team, and organizational effectiveness.
A core focus of this role is designing, developing, and delivering impactful sales and product training programs while supporting learning needs across multiple business functions. You will create engaging, learner-centered experiences across instructor-led, virtual, and digital formats, helping employees build the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to succeed.
You'll also play an important role in managing learning programs within the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring a seamless learner experience through effective administration, reporting, and program support.
What you will do:
  • Partner with business leaders and HR to identify capability gaps and develop learning solutions that drive performance.
  • Design and deliver engaging sales, product, and business training across instructor-led, virtual, and digital formats.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, operations, and product teams to build programs that enhance sales effectiveness and product knowledge.
  • Facilitate impactful learning experiences that improve knowledge retention, behavior change, and business results.
  • Leverage AI-enabled tools to enhance content development, learner engagement, and training effectiveness.
  • Manage LMS administration, program implementation, reporting, and measurement of learning impact

What you will bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Organizational Development, HR Development, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of Learning & Development, talent development, or organizational effectiveness experience.
  • 3+ years designing and delivering sales and product training, ideally within CPG, manufacturing, food production, distribution, or related industries.
  • Strong instructional design, facilitation, consulting, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Hands-on LMS administration experience, including reporting, course management, and learner support.
  • Proven ability to drive behavior change, improve business performance, and effectively leverage AI-enabled learning tools.

The base salary range for this position is $83,000 to $139,000 annually with eligibility for a 15% annual incentive bonus that is based on organizational performance. The pay range represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to education, skills, work experience, certifications, geography, etc. As such, starting pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
Beyond base salary, we offer a competitive Total Rewards package focusing on your overall well-being. We are proud to offer a strong foundation of health benefits, retirement and financial wellbeing, time off programs, and wellbeing support programs.
