Join our Toyota Material Handling Team as aManager of Enterprise Learning and Development

The Role:

At Toyota Material Handling North America, we believe developing people is one of our greatest responsibilities and one of our greatest competitive advantages. We're looking for a leader who shares that belief and is excited to help shape the future of learning and development across an organization of approximately 6,000 Associates located throughout North America.

As Manager of Enterprise Learning & Development, you'll lead a talented team responsible for instructional design, leadership development, professional development, and learning initiatives that support Associates and leaders across TMHNA. You'll partner with leaders across the organization to build scalable learning solutions that strengthen leadership capability, foster a high-performing culture, and prepare our workforce for the future.

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape an enterprise learning function during a period of growth, integration, and transformation.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of instructional designers and learning and development professionals
  • Develop and execute organization-wide learning strategies that build organizational capability and align with TMHNA's business priorities.
  • Partner with business leaders, HR Business Partners, and subject matter experts to identify capability gaps and recommend learning and development solutions.
  • Oversee the design, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of leadership development, professional development, and organization-wide learning programs and initiatives.
  • Establish learning standards, governance, and best practices to ensure consistent, high-quality learning experiences across TMHNA.
  • Guide the successful deployment of scalable learning solutions while supporting and modeling facilitation capability across the organization.
  • Monitor learning effectiveness using business metrics, learner feedback, and performance data to continuously improve programs.
  • Manage departmental priorities, budgets, vendor relationships, and operational activities.
  • Stay current on learning technologies, adult learning methodologies, and industry best practices to continuously improve the learning experience.


What We're Looking For:

This is more than a traditional learning and development role. We're looking for someone who enjoys building capability through strong partnerships, solving business problems with learning solutions, and leading a talented team during an exciting period of organizational growth and integration.

  • Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Education, Instructional Design, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in learning and development, organizational development, talent development, or a related field.
  • Previous experience leading teams, major programs, or organizational learning initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success partnering with leaders to identify organizational capability needs and implement learning solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and learning technologies.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with practical execution while managing multiple priorities.
  • A passion for developing people, building organizational capability, and continuously improving the learner experience.

Where and When You'll Work:

  • This position follows TMHNA's hybrid work model and will be based at one of our primary office locations in Columbus, Indiana or Greene, New York.
  • Travel to other TMHNA locations throughout North America will be required to support team members, learning initiatives, leadership development programs, and business partnerships

What Your Total Compensation & Benefits Package will look like:

Salary-$106,000 - $140,000/year. Compensation depends on the selected candidate's education and experience.

Relocation:This role is eligible for relocation assistance based on current location
