Global SAP HRIS Manager (SuccessFactors) – English Speaking

Location: Lombardy Region, Italy. Hybrid Job (50% Remote). Flexible Start Date from July 2026 Onwards. Salary Range up to €100,000 gross per annum + Bonus + Benefits.

Our end client based in the region of Lombardy, Italy is seeking a fluent English speaking HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) Manager to take global end-to-end accountability for SAP SuccessFactors and the broader HR technology ecosystem. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, development, implementation, and management of all technology and processes related to the people systems and particularly with SAP SuccessFactors solutions and integrations with focus on leading process standardization and ensuring scalable, secure, compliant, and business driven HR solutions while acting as the primary interface between HR, IT, DT business leadership and SAP and other HR systems relevant implementation partners. This role involves collaborating with HR, IT and other department leaders to identify opportunities for automation and process improvement, as well as leading HRIS initiatives to enhance the overall employee experience.

HRIS Process Ownership & Governance
  • Act as global owner and subject matter authority for SAP SuccessFactors, defining the functional vision, roadmap, and release strategy.
  • Own and govern the full SuccessFactors suite, including Employee Central, Recruiting, Onboarding, Learning, Performance & Goals, Development, Compensation, and Talent modules.
  • Drive alignment with SAP product roadmaps, innovations, and quarterly releases, including impact assessment and adoption planning.
  • In line with the company's HR Strategy, manage and evolve the global HR technology landscape and architecture, ensuring scalability, integration, and alignment with enterprise IT strategy.
  • Manage system lifecycle activities, including releases, upgrades, testing, and change impact analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with global regulations (e.g., GDPR) and internal audit requirements.
  • Define and enforce cybersecurity and data privacy practices for all HR systems.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across HR platforms.
  • Design and maintain user-friendly HR processes, guidelines, and system documentation.
  • Define and execute a global HR data and analytics roadmap to support decision-making and business insights.
  • Coordinate requirements management between HR, process owners, IT, business process experts, and external service providers.
HRIS Operations & Service Management
  • Ensure HRIS services follow ITIL-based incident, change, and service request management processes.
  • Manage ticket prioritization and oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of enhancements and fixes.
  • Support and enable a culture of continuous improvement across HR systems and processes.
  • Lead change management and user adoption activities in collaboration with HR and IT stakeholders.
Project & Change Management
  • Lead global HR system implementations, upgrades, and process redesign initiatives.
  • Plan, monitor, and control projects covering scope, timelines, milestones, resources, and budget.
  • Define project deliverables, success criteria, and governance models.
  • Establish and maintain structured project communication, status reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Standardize project management tools and methodologies for HRIS projects.
  • Drive global HR processes improvement from concept through go-live, rollout, and stabilization.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
  • Act as the primary interface to SAP and HRIS service and implementation partners.
  • Define and continuously improve the HR vendor strategy to ensure alignment, cost efficiency, and service quality.
  • Establish meetings and cadence with SAP stakeholders for regular updates and product roadmap discussions.
  • Lead vendor selection, onboarding, performance monitoring, and SLA management.
  • Manage vendor-related risks, dependencies, and escalations.
  • Coordinate vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration, integration, and knowledge transfer.
  • Support contract management activities in coordination with Procurement, IT, and Legal teams.
HR Digital & Technology Strategy
  • Define and maintain the global HR digitalization strategy and roadmap aligned with business priorities such as talent acquisition, talent management, performance management, and core HR processes.
  • Drive standardization, automation, digitization, and AI initiatives across HR processes, tools, and platforms.
  • Govern the global HR technology ecosystem, including local HRIT solutions and initiatives.
  • Identify, assess, and introduce innovative HR solutions to address current and future business needs.
  • Define and manage HR system integrations across SAP SuccessFactors, Qualtrics, Power BI, and local payroll systems.
People Leadership & Team Capability Building—Coaching / Trainings
  • Lead, coach and develop HRIS team members into becoming high performance SAP SuccessFactors system analysts and product specialists.
  • Support team members in project management techniques, training, and best implementation practices.
  • Support team members for best business practices with SAP SuccessFactors implementations solutions.
  • Line responsibility for two direct employees and some external consultants.
Required Experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in SAP HRIS.
  • Proven experience working with the IT team to implement the following SAP SuccessFactors modules:

  • Knowledge of:

  • Proven experience launching or driving implementations requiring change management, stakeholder management and communication.
  • Strong project management skills, including a proven track record of leading large, complex projects using standard project management practices and tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, communication (written and verbal), and consulting skills. Ability to assess needs, influence, collaborate, deliver and partner at the most senior levels in the organization.
  • Strategic, enterprise-wide and systems thinking.
  • Skills to communicate complex technical solutions in a simple manner that can be understood broadly within the organization.
  • Willing to travel to Germany 2-3 times per year.
Languages
  • Fluent in English.
Salary
  • Fixed Basic Salary up to €100,000 gross per annum.
  • Performance-based annual bonus of 2 monthly salaries.
Remote Work
  • Onsite 50% ideally every week. For candidates living far from the office, the client may consider 1 week onsite / 1 week remote.
