GLOBAL ENGAGEMENT ASSOCIATE

Department: Missions

Reports to: Global Engagement Manager

Location: Riverside, CA

Job Type: Seasonal, part-time, 20 hours per week

JOB DETAILS:

The Global Engagement Associate provides essential administrative and logistical support for all Global Engagement efforts, including short-term trips, special events and campus efforts at Sandals Church. The Associate will work closely with the GE team to ensure a smooth and organized experience for all GE participants and leaders.

SOME KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Applicant & Team Management: Assist in the trip application process, scheduling and coordinating interviews, and team placement.
  • Administrative & Logistical Support: Assist in completing administrative tasks related to mission trips, including processing paperwork, ensuring completion of background checks, and maintaining participant records.
  • Travel Coordination: Assist in planning all travel logistics, including booking flights, arranging airport transportation, and managing accommodation details for teams. Ensure all travel-related documentation is complete and accessible.
  • Communication: Communicate regularly with trip participants regarding deadlines, required paperwork, fundraising goals, and training schedules. Respond to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Financial Administration: Work with the Global Engagement Manager to track trip-related finances, process payments and donations, and assist with budget management.
  • Database Management: Maintain and update the Global Engagement database with accurate participant information, trip details, and financial data.
  • Support & Coordination: Provide support to the Global Engagement Manager, the Global Engagement Lead, and volunteer team leaders as needed to ensure the successful execution of all mission trips.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelorโ€™s degree preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an administrative, logistical, or coordinator role.
    • Experience in a ministry or non-profit setting is a plus.
  • Core Competencies:
  • Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Google Workspace. Experience with database management is a plus.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively and take direction from a supervisor.
  • Personal Qualifications: A mature Christian with a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a passion for supporting global missions. Must be in full agreement with the Statement of Faith and core values of Sandals Church.

Compensation

Pay Range: $20โ€“$23 per hour
Rate determined by experience and our internal compensation structure.
