About the role:

The Principal Specialist - Change Enablement reports to the Senior Manager of Change Enablement on the Global Change Enablement team. This team builds organizational change capability by establishing standard methods, connecting people, processes, data, and tools, and delivering change strategies that drive adoption of priority initiatives.

This role supports a project to deliver and sustain a new Enterprise Quality Management System (eQMS) for global nonconformance, CAPA, and complaint handling including intake, complaint management, and investigation. The platform will simplify, standardize, and modernize quality processes to improve efficiency, strengthen regulatory compliance, enable seamless data flow across sites, and support sustainable growth. This initiative advances patient safety by providing earlier insights, more consistent processes, and a scalable foundation for continuous improvement across the Boston Scientific Quality System.

In this role, you will lead change strategy and execution for the project, including stakeholder engagement, change communications, impact assessments, adoption planning, and people readiness activities.

 

Work Mode 

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our Arden Hills, MN or Marlborough, MA office at least 3 days per week.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Design and Lead the overall change enablement strategy for Project, coordinating  with program leadership and sponsors to align change strategy with program milestones
  • Drive executive-level sponsorship engagement, including development of sponsor plans, visibility strategies, and stakeholder alignment tactics
  • Conduct enterprise-level stakeholder and impact assessments, change readiness reviews, and role adoption plans across business functions
  • Design and lead facilitation of global change management sessions, adoption workshops, and functional alignment sessions to accelerate ownership and adoption
  • Creation of change communications, personas, "What's Changing" materials, and change roadmaps tailored for multi-audience engagement
  • Maintain intra-project SharePoint and communication plan in partnership with Corporate Communications
  • Define, monitor, and report on adoption and change effectiveness metrics at both the program, site, and role levels
  • Coach business change network members on leading through change using ADKAR and CLARC frameworks
  • Serve as a strategic liaison between the Change Enablement team and program to ensure consistency, alignment, and scalability of tools and methods
  • Represent the Global Change Enablement team in leadership forums, governance meetings, and enterprise change planning efforts beyond Project

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Communications, Psychology, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 7 years in change management, enterprise transformation, or regulatory remediation
  • Proven leadership of complex, cross-functional change programs
  • Experience driving leadership engagement, site readiness, and adoption in a regulated industry
  • Advanced knowledge of change methodologies such as Prosci ADKAR, Kotter, or McKinsey Influence Model

Key Skills / Capabilities:

  • Strategic thinker with a proven ability to lead enterprise-level change initiatives
  • Experience using AI tools in change management delivery
  • Strong executive presence and ability to influence across levels and functions
  • Expert in translating technical projects into people-centered adoption strategies
  • Outstanding communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Skilled in change metrics, readiness assessments, and adoption risk mitigation
  • Able to operate in a fast-paced, regulated environment with shifting priorities

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in I/O Psychology, Organizational Leadership, or related field
  • 10+ years leading change in global, matrixed organizations
  • PROSCI and/or ACMP certification
  • Experience leading quality, regulatory, or compliance-focused transformations
  • Experience reporting adoption progress and change risks to senior leaders or sponsors
  • Experience scaling change frameworks across workstreams and business units
  • Strong facilitation skills in bootcamps, executive alignment, and adoption planning workshops
