Job description

Position Title: Head Girls Softball Coach
Location: Cardinal Mooney High School
Type: Contract/stipend
Cardinal Mooney Catholic High School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Head Girls Softball Coach for the upcoming season. The successful candidate will promote athletic excellence, sportsmanship, leadership, and Christian values while creating a positive and competitive environment for student-athletes.
Responsibilities
  • Has full responsibility for the overall supervision and development of the girls’ softball team.
  • Plan and conduct practices, games, and team activities
  • Develop student-athletes’ skills, teamwork, discipline, and character
  • Uphold the values and mission of Catholic Education: encourage academic success and respectful behavior among student athletes.
  • Maintain communication with players, parents, athletic department, and school administration.
  • Organize team equipment, uniforms, and transportation needs.
  • Responsible for the safety and security of the team before, during, and after events and traveling to and from events.
Qualifications
  • Coaching experience preferred but not required.
  • Applicants must have basic knowledge of softball skills and techniques.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to mentor and motivate high school student-athletes
  • Completion of required background checks and safe environment training.
  • Criminal justice fingerprint clearance
  • Must have a valid CPR certificate or obtain one.
  • Follow all MHSAA and CHSL coaching requirements
