Job description

The Donor Relations Coordinator supports the Humane Society of Summit County's fundraising efforts by coordinating annual fund activities, donor stewardship initiatives, and early-stage donor cultivation. This role serves as the primary point of contact with the organization's direct mail vendor and works closely with the Director of Development & Outreach to strengthen donor relationships and support fundraising initiatives.

Job Duties:

  1. Serve as primary liaison to the organization?s direct mail vendor, coordinating campaign timelines, segmentation, messaging, and production.
  2. Cultivate and maintain relationships with a portfolio of entry-level and mid-level donors to increase retention and giving.
  3. Conduct donor outreach, including thank-you calls, emails, meetings, and stewardship activities.
  4. Identify potential major gift prospects and support cultivation strategies in partnership with the Director of Development & Outreach.
  5. Coordinate donor acknowledgment processes and ensure accurate gift processing and donor records in the CRM.
  6. Generate reports and analyze data to support fundraising strategy and track performance.
  7. Support planning and execution of donor events and engagement activities.
  8. Collaborate with the Individual Giving Coordinator to ensure timely donor stewardship and accurate gift processing.
  9. Collaborate with the Development and Marketing teams to support fundraising campaigns and communications.
  10. Assist with prospect research, donor pipeline tracking, and other development initiatives as needed.
