Role Overview:
We are seeking a strategic and consultative leader to join our Hospitality Cloud team as a Senior Manager/Director, Business Transient. This role is designed for a seasoned business travel professional with a strong understanding of the corporate travel ecosystem and a passion for helping clients optimize their transient business strategy.
The successful candidate will act as an advisor, advocate, and industry voice for Cvent's Business Transient suite - including RFP Management, Content Management, Demand Generation, and GDS Access. You will work closely with Cvent's Strategic Account team to deepen relationships with key clients, advise on best practices, and ensure that our solutions deliver measurable value.
This position reports to the Vice President of Sales, Hospitality Cloud and requires strong external presence - including representing Cvent at client meetings, conferences, and associations such as GBTA - as well as thought leadership through channels like LinkedIn and other professional networks.
In This Role, You Will:
  • Partner with the Strategic Account Team to drive renewals and upsell opportunities within existing Business Transient customers - ensuring long-term growth and portfolio expansion.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding best practices in Business Transient strategy and maximizing value from RFP Management, Content Management, Demand Generation, and GDS Access.
  • Build and strengthen executive-level relationships, positioning Cvent as a strategic partner in the BT space as well
  • Represent Cvent at client meetings, conferences, and industry associations (e.g., GBTA), including speaking engagements and thought-leadership opportunities.
  • Monitor client feedback, market trends, and competitor activity to inform internal teams and influence product strategy.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally (Product, Marketing, Client Services, Sales Ops) to improve client experience, adoption, and engagement.
  • Contribute to strategic campaigns, enablement initiatives, and social/digital presence (e.g., LinkedIn) to elevate awareness and engagement.

Here's What You Need:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in business travel, hospitality, or corporate travel technology, ideally in a consultative or strategic client-facing role.
  • Strong knowledge of the business travel landscape and distribution systems (GDS, CRS, PMS, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior-level stakeholders (Director and above).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and consultative advisory skills.
  • Proven experience working cross-functionally and integrating client feedback into strategy.
  • Active presence in industry associations (GBTA or similar) and comfort with public speaking.
  • Familiarity with Cvent Business Transient solutions (formerly Lanyon) strongly preferred.
  • Experience exploring (and thirst to continue) how creative, responsible use of AI can streamline workflows and boost customer experience
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings, conferences, and industry events.
