Job description

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the calculation and review of daily NAVs prepared by an external fund administrator.
  • Support the Fund Controller in reviewing quarterly and annual GAAP financial statements prepared by the fund administrator.
  • Coordinate with external auditors to ensure audits and quarterly reviews are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Provide supporting documentation to external auditors for year-end audit requests.
  • Assist external tax accountants with the preparation of tax schedules and provide supporting documentation for year-end tax work.
  • Support the preparation and filing of all SEC and OTC regulatory filings in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Prepare internal daily and weekly management reports.
  • Assist in evaluating, documenting, and maintaining the company's accounting policies.
  • Support special projects and other key deliverables as needed.
  • Respond to investor inquiries and ad-hoc requests.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1-4 years of experience in fund accounting, public accounting, or financial services.
  • Familiarity with investment company accounting and GAAP financial reporting.
  • Experience working with external fund administrators, auditors, and tax service providers.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting systems and fund accounting platforms a plus.
