Position overview:

We are currently looking for an outstanding individual to join our fast-paced and rapidly growing Finance organization as a Fund Accountant. This person will play a pivotal role in helping us scale our platform and create extraordinary investor and management services across our global ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accuracy of quarterly financial statements, net asset value reporting, and investor reporting for multiple entities, including Healthcare Royalty funds, master-feeders, SPVs, and corporate general partners.

  • Manage capital activity processes (capital calls, distributions, rebalancing, carried interest, management fees) and collaborate with fund administrators and investor relations on reporting, client reports, and marketing materials under IFRS.

  • Oversee fund accounting activities including journal entries, valuations, reconciliations, and maintenance of books of record for parallel vehicles, SPVs, and managed accounts; support investment closings with funding and KYC.

  • Coordinate audits and prepare audited financials; work with tax consultants to ensure timely compliance with regulatory filings (FATCA/CRS, HST/GST, US/Canadian/Irish tax) and support control assessments, classifications, valuations, and compliance processes.

  • Partner with legal and business teams on new fund launches and fundraising activities; provide leadership on system automation and scaling of fund accounting and control platforms.

  • Other tasks required by your manager.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of relevant fund accounting and administration work experience, preferably in private funds.

  • Experience in an Asset Management firm, actual exposures to audit, tax accounting, FATCA/CRS reporting, SLFI reporting, and level 3 valuation of investments are a plus.

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or another related field.

  • CA / CPA Certification with specialization in Internal Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is a plus.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, ability to synthesize and articulate thoughts about companies and markets concisely.

  • Naturally curious, self-motivated with strong sense of ownership and accountability

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment

  • Organized and strong attention to detail.

  • Excellent execution focus

  • For all positions in Quebec, proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written, is mandatory. English is required due to regular interaction with colleagues and external partners outside Quebec.

Nous recherchons un(e) Comptable de Fonds dynamique et soucieux(se) du detail pour rejoindre notre equipe financiere en pleine croissance. Il s'agit d'une opportunite unique de jouer un role cle dans le soutien de la croissance continue de notre plateforme d'investissement mondiale, en offrant un service de premier ordre aux investisseurs et aux parties prenantes internes. Vous travaillerez dans un environnement collaboratif et performant qui valorise l'innovation, l'inclusion et l'apprentissage continu.

Responsabilites :

  • Assurer l'exactitude des etats financiers trimestriels, du reporting de la valeur liquidative et du reporting investisseurs pour plusieurs entites, y compris les fonds Healthcare Royalty, les structures master-feeder, les vehicules a usage special (SPV) et les societes generales partenaires.

  • Gerer les activites de capital (appels de fonds, distributions, reequilibrages, carried interest, frais de gestion) et collaborer avec les administrateurs de fonds et les equipes relations investisseurs pour le reporting, les rapports clients et les supports marketing conformement aux normes IFRS.

  • Superviser les activites comptables des fonds, notamment les ecritures comptables, evaluations, rapprochements bancaires et la tenue des livres des vehicules paralleles, SPV et comptes geres ; accompagner la cloture des investissements en gerant les financements et les procedures KYC.

  • Coordonner les audits et preparer les etats financiers audites ; travailler avec les fiscalistes pour garantir le respect des obligations fiscales et reglementaires (FATCA/CRS, HST/GST, fiscalite americaine, canadienne et irlandaise) et soutenir les controles, classifications, evaluations et processus de conformite.

  • Collaborer avec les equipes juridiques et commerciales pour le lancement de nouveaux fonds et les activites de levee de capitaux ; assurer un role de leadership dans l'automatisation des systemes et la montee en echelle des plateformes comptables et de controle.

  • Accomplir d'autres taches selon les besoins de la direction.

Qualifications :

  • 1 a 2 ans d'experience en comptabilite de fonds ou en administration de fonds, idealement sur les marches prives ou dans la gestion d'actifs alternatifs.

  • Experience dans une societe de gestion d'actifs ; une exposition a l'audit, a la comptabilite fiscale, au reporting FATCA/CRS, au reporting SLFI et a l'evaluation de niveau 3 des investissements constitue un atout.

  • Diplome de baccalaureat en comptabilite, finance ou dans un domaine connexe.
    Certification CA / CPA avec specialisation en normes IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) constitue un atout.

  • Excellentes competences en communication ecrite et orale, capacite a synthetiser et articuler de maniere concise des reflexions sur les entreprises et les marches.
