A hedge fund accountant follows the value of an investment fund’s assets on a daily basis. Your duties as a hedge fund accountant include determining how healthy the fund is and making recommendations about whether or not managers should invest clients’ money in that particular fund. Hedge funds produce large sums of money, and you are responsible for monitoring the cash flow in and out of the fund and developing analyses and financial reports for investors. As a hedge fund accountant, you also work on yearly audits for the fund.
