IT Specialist

Full-Time | Technology & Innovation Team

Are you a problem-solver who loves improving systems, streamlining processes, and helping people work smarter through technology? Join our team as an IT Specialist and play a key role in supporting and advancing the technology that powers one of the premier private club experiences on Bald Head Island.

This role is ideal for an IT professional who enjoys a mix of hands-on support, project work, automation, and innovation - someone who wants to make a visible impact across an entire organization while continuing to grow their technical skills.

Working alongside the IT Director, you'll help drive system improvements, technology integrations, automation initiatives, and day-to-day IT operations that enhance communication, efficiency, and service delivery across the Club.


What You'll DoTechnology Projects & Innovation
  • Execute special IT projects including system enhancements, integrations, and technical implementations

  • Support technology initiatives prioritized by Club leadership

  • Identify opportunities to improve internal systems, workflows, and operational efficiency

  • Research and recommend technology solutions and best practices that enhance performance and service delivery

  • Collaborate with departments to solve real-world operational challenges through technology

Systems, Automation & Data
  • Assist with integrations between Club operating systems and vendor platforms

  • Utilize tools such as Power Automate, Power BI, and similar platforms to improve automation and reporting

  • Help implement and maintain an internal communications dashboard integrating financial data, workforce analytics, event communications, and forecasting

  • Partner with Marketing to maintain Club websites, servers, and databases

Training & Support
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, configuration, and setup issues for staff

  • Support internal IT ticket resolution and assist IT Support Assistants as needed

  • Train employees on systems, hardware usage, and data security best practices

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and training materials

Operations & Organization
  • Maintain IT office spaces, equipment inventory, and server room organization

  • Track work activity through the internal ticketing system for operational analytics

  • Stay current with emerging technology trends and pursue ongoing professional development


What We're Looking For
  • 2-3 years of prior IT experience

  • Working knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, and troubleshooting practices

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail

  • Professional communication skills and a collaborative mindset

  • Positive, dependable, and team-oriented attitude

  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Preferred (but not required):

  • College degree (2- or 4-year)

  • Experience with club management systems (Northstar, Club Essentials, Jonas)

  • IT training or instructional experience

  • Relevant certifications


Schedule & Work Environment
  • Four (4) 10-hour workdays per week

  • Schedule varies based on operational needs

  • Weekend availability required at times

  • Primarily on-site with occasional remote work as needed

  • Flexibility required during peak seasons, projects, or major initiatives

This role works primarily indoors in a professional office and Club environment and includes occasional equipment setup and lifting (up to 40+ lbs).
