What's Volo Kids?
Volo Kids provides free organized sports for kids across 11 different cities. Our programs remove barriers to athletic participation such as gender, skill, and financial resources while bringing different communities together.
What's This Internship All About?
As the Youth Sports Management & Coaching Interns you will be working directly with our talented and knowledgeable team to assist with day to day program operations, including customer service, data management, coaching, partner relations as well as development and fundraising.
Training will include an overview of equipment ordering, storage management, sales, operations and finance. Upon completion of the internship, our interns will have the knowledge necessary to launch their career. Previous interns have gone on to work with fortune 500 companies, large charities, professional sports teams as well as pursued full time roles within Volo.

INTERNSHIP PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Inventory, upkeep and transportation of sports equipment and shirts
  • Responsible for League prep & day of logistics
  • Report any player, parent, ref, coach issues
  • Provide guidance to volunteers if there are questions about drills/ roles
  • In charge of weekly communication to parents and volunteers
  • Provide administrative and clerical support for all departments
  • Assist with game reports, customer service inquiries, scheduling and data entry
  • Assist with league audits & evaluations

Qualifications
  • Works well in a team atmosphere, and requires minimal supervision and direction
  • Self-reliant and eager to take on any task - no matter how big or small
  • Currently enrolled in college or recently graduated
  • Punctual and professional, but embraces a "work hard, play hard" attitude
  • Pass background check (we will provide)

Ideal candidate
  • Passion for sports and social activities
  • Experience coaching youth sports
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Self-directed leader who takes initiative and a solutions-oriented approach to problem solving; demonstrates a willingness to learn and improve
  • Comfortable with all types of clients and decision makers; able to put the customer first in order to best solve their problems
  • Strong customer service skills
