Grand Canyon University's Colangelo College of Business (CCOB),Colangelo College of Business, is seeking a full-time faculty member to teach Sports Business and Entertainment Management courses.We are especially interested in applicants who can strengthen the diversity of our academic community.

This Faculty position is located at our main campus at 3300 W Camelback Rd. Phoenix, AZ.

What you will do:

  • Be engaging by preparing lectures that stimulate classroom discussions

  • Bring sports business and entertainment management concepts to life for undergraduate and graduate students.

  • Network to provide internships and job placements

  • Continue to remain current in the field of management and effective teaching techniques.

  • Participates in faculty and CCOB meetings and College/University committee activities

  • Supports the integrity of the GCU Christian mission, faith integration & learning outcomes

What you need:

  • Masters in Business Administration (MBA) or Master's in Management

  • Experience teaching sports management or similar topics

  • Significant (5+ years desired), documented, industry experience in the sports or entertainment business industry. Ideal candidates will have experience in both the sport and entertainment business industry with a strong understanding of event planning/execution, venue management and marketing of experiential events. Candidates who also have sports, events, entertainment or applied analytics will also be considered.

  • Significant network of sports or entertainment industry relationships to provide student experience and student hiring/intern opportunities.

  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University's Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
