Project Manager - Construction  - Job Description 

Position Overview 

Sitestream is seeking a Project Manager to coordinate highway based construction support services related to municipal compliance-related construction. This role serves as the operational link between internal teams and third-party construction companies, ensuring work is properly scheduled, tracked, and completed in compliance with local requirements. 

The Project Manager focuses on coordinating workflows, monitoring progress, and maintaining visibility across active projects rather than performing hands-on construction. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, operations-focused, and experienced in managing external contractors. 

Cross-Functional Construction Workflows 

Intake & Scoping 

  • Project Manager / Operations / Municipality 
  • Review municipal requirements, State requirements, notices, or inspection findings 
  • Translate requirements into construction scopes for third-party contractors 
  • Vendor Coordination 
  •  Project Manager / Vendor Management / Procurement 
  • Defining camera and associated hardware requirements  
  • Assign approved third-party contractors 
  • Aligning on schedules, scopes, and expectations 
  • Ensure Budgetary calculation

Permitting & Documentation 

  • Project Manager / Permitting / Admin / Compliance Ops 
  • Track permits, inspections, and required documentation 
  • Ensure records are complete for municipal compliance including DOT approvals alongside subcontract expert support 

Execution & Tracking 

  • Project Manager / Internal Operations / Senior Leadership  
  • Monitor progress, timelines, and issues 
  • Communicate status updates and escalations 
  • Ensure central Project tracking solution is kept up to date 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Management of the day-to-day operations including support outsourcing of infrastructure tasks, ensuring proper management of contractors, permits, equipment needs, and site logistics 
  • Review and analyse construction drawings to ensure accurate execution in the field, coordinating with third-party contractors to resolve discrepancies and maintain design intent. 
  • Serve as the technical and managerial point of contact for ITS construction, resolving field issues, constructability concerns, and design conflicts with third-party construction companies 
  • Track project timelines, deliverables, and approved budgets 
  • Serve as the primary operational point of contact between contractors, customers and internal teams 
  • Ensure work aligns with local / state building requirements and compliance standards 
  • Identify and escalate operational issues, delays, or budget concerns 
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including state requirements, inspections, and close-out records 
  • Conduct or coordinate site visits and ensure all physical deployment prerequisites are met 
  • Provide regular project status updates to leadership  

Requirements

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in project management, project operations, or contractor coordination 
  • Proven experience managing third-party construction and approval vendors 
  • Strong understanding of construction workflows and scheduling, ideally in an ITS or highways environment 
  • Experience with budget tracking and documentation 
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and follow-through skills  

Preferred Experience 

  • PMP-certified professional with proven experience applying formal project management methodologies to third-party construction oversight 
  • Background in compliance-driven, municipal, or inspection-related construction 
  • Experience working with permitting offices or inspectors 
  • Experience dealing with Road side infrastructure works including working with Electric Utility companies 
  • Familiarity with project tracking
