Immaculate Conception Catholic School located in Hialeah (Dade County), Florida has an opening for a full-time Receptionist who will be responsible for providing first-point-of-contact customer service for general inquiries and visitors to the school. Primary duties are answering and greeting callers, assessing their needs, and directing them to the appropriate parties, and helping to coordinate weekly communications for families. This employee assists in other clerical and/or administrative tasks of the Office as needed. The candidate performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED and two- years of administrative experience in a customer-service environment.
  • Preferred- experience with office telephones, managing multiple calls and routing to appropriate extensions.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including ability to maintain focus on and professionalism with people in challenging situations, both in person and by phone.
  • Demonstrated history of maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Ability to multi-task and retain accuracy in an environment of competing deadlines.
  • Strong computer literacy, including ability to navigate online applications and search engines effectively.
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint preferred.
  • Effective oral and written English communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
  • Good spelling and grammar are required.
  • Supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic tenets of Catholic Church.
  • Must have a professional demeanor, including adherence to dress code.
