Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HAZMAT Chemical and Gas Material Manager to join our semiconductor manufacturing team. This role is responsible for the safe and compliant management, storage, and transportation of hazardous materials and gases. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of DOT HAZMAT, Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) regulations, and a strong background in vendor management, KPI development, and compliance with international fire and building codes.
This position plays a critical role in leading logistics and safety initiatives, managing material vendor performance, and ensuring operational excellence through efficient processes, detailed reporting, and cross-functional team engagement.

Role and Responsibilities

Here's What You'll Be Responsible For:

• Leadhazardousmaterialsandgaslogisticsoperations,ensuringfullcompliancewithDOTHAZMAT,ForeignTradeZone(FTZ),InternationalFireCode,andallapplicablefederal,state,andlocalregulations.

• Managethird-partylogisticsprovidersandwarehouseoperations,includingcontractadministration,KPIdevelopment,SLAperformance,issueresolution,andcontinuousvendorimprovement.

• Developandimplementlogisticsstrategies,standardoperatingprocedures(SOPs),andprocessimprovementstooptimizematerialflow,inventoryavailability,safety,quality,andcost.

• Overseetheplanning,coordination,andexecutionofcriticalmaterialmovementsandspecializedshipmentstoensureuninterruptedmanufacturingandR&Doperations.

• AnalyzeoperationaldataandKPIstoidentifytrends,performrootcauseanalysis,resolvecomplexlogisticsissues,anddrivecontinuousimprovementinitiatives.

• Serveasthelogisticssubjectmatterexpertforcross-functionalprojectsandexecutiveleadershipbyprovidingriskassessments,operationalupdates,reports,andstrategicrecommendations.

• Lead,develop,andmotivateahigh-performinglogisticsteamwhilefosteringacultureofsafety,compliance,operationalexcellence,andcustomer-focusedservice.

Skills and Qualifications

Here's what you'll need:

• Bachelor'sdegreeinSupplyChain,Chemistry,EnvironmentalScience,Logistics,orarelatedfield.
• Minimum5-10yearsofexperienceinhazardousmaterialsmanagementinamanufacturingorsemiconductorenvironment.
• ExtensiveknowledgeofDOTHAZMATandForeignTradeZone(FTZ)regulations.
• FamiliaritywithInternationalFireCode(IFC)andbuildingcodesrelatedtochemicalandgasstorage/transport.
• Strongvendormanagementandcontractnegotiationskills.

The current base salary range for this role is between $85,000 - $135,000. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
