Position Overview

Divine Mercy Behavioral Health Center is on the lookout for a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to provide remote counseling services to individuals seeking mental health support. In this full-time position, you will play an essential role in leading therapeutic interventions, conducting intake assessments, and crafting personalized treatment plans tailored to each client's needs. Your expertise will empower clients to navigate their mental health challenges effectively and enhance their overall quality of life.

About the Organization

Divine Mercy Behavioral Health Center, located in Jersey City, New Jersey, is dedicated to fostering mental wellness through a holistic, patient-centered approach. Our community health clinic provides a wide range of services aimed at addressing diverse mental health concerns. We prioritize creating an inclusive environment that encourages healing and personal growth, ensuring that clients feel supported throughout their therapeutic journey.

Work Environment

This position offers the flexibility of a remote work environment, allowing you to connect with clients from the comfort of your home while engaging in meaningful therapeutic relationships. Our team collaborates closely to ensure consistent support and communication, while utilizing telehealth platforms that facilitate efficient and secure client interactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive intake assessments to ascertain each client's mental health needs and develop customized treatment plans.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methodologies to provide effective counseling sessions that address the specific challenges faced by clients.
  • Continuously evaluate and adjust treatment strategies in consultation with clients to enhance their chances for recovery and personal growth.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client sessions and treatment progress while ensuring compliance with all ethical guidelines and state regulations.
  • Offer warm, empathetic support to clients during therapy sessions, fostering an environment conducive to openness and healing.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, referring clients to additional resources as necessary to meet their broader mental health needs.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on diverse client populations, including adults dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health challenges. By offering culturally sensitive and individualized care, you will help clients navigate their unique circumstances while utilizing effective therapeutic techniques adapted to various backgrounds.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Possession of all necessary state licenses and certifications required to practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor in New Jersey.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster rapport with clients and facilitate a therapeutic alliance.
  • A proven ability to create tailored treatment plans suitable for the unique needs of each individual client.
  • A willingness to collaborate with other mental health professionals and refer clients as necessary.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience in a community health setting or working with a diverse population of clients is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote counseling methods to effectively engage clients online.
  • Knowledge of contemporary therapeutic techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based therapy, or solution-focused therapy.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, falling between $80,000 and $90,000 annually, based on your experience and qualifications. Additionally, you will receive a sign-on bonus, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes assistance with billing and documentation, allowing you to focus more on patient care rather than paperwork. Enjoy a flexible schedule designed to promote work-life balance and the opportunity for professional development assistance to enhance your skills and career path.

Career Growth Opportunities

At Divine Mercy Behavioral Health Center, we are committed to your professional growth. As a member of our team, you will have access to ongoing training and mentoring, equipping you with the tools necessary to advance within the organization. Whether you pursue specialized certifications or seek leadership roles, we aim to support your ambitions and help you achieve your career goals.
