ABOUT HARWOOD LLOYD, LLP

Harwood Lloyd, LLP is a well-established law firm that has provided high-quality legal counsel to thousands of clients for more than 35 years. The firm's attorneys include veteran prosecutors and seasoned litigators who bring practical experience to complex legal matters. Harwood Lloyd focuses on seven major practice areas, offering clients a broad range of services and deep subject-matter knowledge. Team members collaborate across disciplines to address diverse client needs while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and client service.

Our team shares the common goal of providing clients with high-quality customer service and excellent legal representation. We strive to create an environment where employees feel empowered to thrive personally and professionally.

LEGAL CALENDAR COORDINATOR

The Legal Calendar Coordinator will manage and maintain firm-wide litigation calendars, including court dates, filing deadlines, hearings, mediations, and client meetings. This role involves reviewing court rules and orders, identifying critical deadlines, and accurately entering and updating them in the firm's calendaring system. The coordinator will monitor changes to schedules, promptly communicate updates to attorneys and staff, and ensure timely reminders and notifications. Additional responsibilities include coordinating with courts and opposing counsel regarding scheduling, assisting with preparation of basic calendar-related legal notices, and generating regular calendar reports as necessary. The position requires consistent attention to detail, confidentiality, and effective communication with legal teams in a virtual environment.

Your positive, can-do attitude makes you a joy to work with for both clients and staff alike. While you are organized and love the satisfaction of getting things done, you are also a people person and enjoy interacting with colleagues throughout your workday. Though you are self-directed and able to work independently, you are also a team player who collaborates well with everyone at the firm to make things happen for our clients. You feel great about working for an ethical firm where customer service is a priority.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A LEGAL CALENDAR COORDINATOR

  • Strong foundation in the legal field, with the ability to understand court rules, procedures, and litigation timelines.
  • Proficiency in scheduling, including notices, cover letters, and deadline summaries.
  • Excellent Analytical Skills to interpret court orders, calculate deadlines, and identify potential conflicts or risks.
  • Clear and professional communication skills for coordinating with attorneys, clients, staff, courts, and external parties.
  • Experience with legal calendaring or docketing systems and common office software (e.g., Outlook, case management tools, MS Office).
  • High level of accuracy, organization, and time management, with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a remote setting.
  • Prior experience in a law firm or legal department, particularly in litigation support or docketing, is strongly preferred.
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent relevant experience in legal administration or calendar coordination.

Are you able to prioritize tasks effectively? Can you function under pressure from deadlines? Do you have excellent communication skills? Are you flexible and resilient in an ever-evolving atmosphere? Do you exhibit sound judgment? Can you maintain strict confidentiality? If so, then you may be perfect for this position!
