  • Prepare for and litigate hearings and trials
  • Draft appeals, rebuttals, memoranda of law, and other litigation documents
  • Conduct legal research and remain current on developments in New York workers' compensation law
  • Prepare clients for hearings and testimony
  • Negotiate settlements and develop effective litigation strategies
  • Work closely with paralegals and legal assistants to ensure cases progress efficiently
  • Assist injured workers in obtaining the medical treatment and benefits to which they are entitled
  • Perform additional litigation and case management duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Admission to the New York State Bar
  • Workers' compensation experience is preferred, but not required
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload while meeting deadlines
  • Strong negotiation and litigation skills
  • Professional, organized, and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research platforms such as Lexis or Westlaw
