Job description

Houston - Project Manager

Aquatech has an immediate need for a full-time Project Manager to work in our Houston, TX office. The hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The Project Manager will report to the Director of Engineered Projects and will perform the duties described in the job description below and will be considered an Exempt employee.

Job Description

· Manage diverse project teams in proposal preparation and subsequent project execution for EPC Water treatment projects: Process, engineering, procurement, logistics, estimating, project controls, safety, fabrication, construction management and material management.

· Maintain proposals budget and generate proposal schedule.

· Change management with Clients as well as with vendors/sub-contractors.

· Read, check, review contract and create consolidated list of exceptions and clarifications.

· Check and comment on P&ID's and General Arrangements.

· Review equipment selection and data sheets.

· Prepare budgetary and firm price estimates and review risk mitigation with management during proposal stage.

· Coordinate & consolidate document preparation: proposals to client.

· Support correspondence with customer.

· Attend customer meetings as required.

· Ensure high level of customer satisfaction.

· Review global sourcing plans and RFQ's.

· Communications w/vendors and installation subcontractors to evaluate competitive quotes & negotiations.

· Internal communication with all departments, including global offices.

· Review engineering documents and drawings.

· Work autonomously without constant guidance.

· International as well as domestic travel as required (could be extensive at times).

Skill Requirements

· Ability to write engineering specifications.

· Ability to communicate effectively with customers and maintain a positive attitude and good organizational skills.

· Ability to plan and manage multiple tasks or proposals.

· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

· Attention to detail.

· Ability to use personal computer (MS Office Products) and internet at a high level of proficiency.

· Writing engineering specifications, and attention to detail.

· Experience at the site as Construction Manager is an added advantage.

· Experience in project-related industry with technical buying/selling and/or execution of projects.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications / Experience:

· B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or related)

· Eight (8) or more years in Project management with handling projects of $20 million and above.
