Job description

You will be managing personnel, coordinating project schedules, ensuring that health and safety regulations are observed, and regularly reporting project status to internal team members.

You must have experience with HVAC systems and project management, as well as a strong understanding of project management methodologies.

Pay Range: $125,000 to $160,000 DOE

Location: Mineola NY

Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities: Meet with the Sales Team to review the secured project including confirming the scope of work, deliverables / client expectations, reviewing the estimate of costs, and identifying any required subcontractors after which they will be responsible for:

  1. Project Planning
  • Define project scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Develop detailed project plans and timelines.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients 
  • Team Management
    • Lead HVAC technicians and subcontractors.
    • Communicate regularly with clients and internal Dynaire teams.
    • Resolve conflicts and ensure client satisfaction 
  • Technical Abilities
    • Supervise installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems.
    • Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes.
    • Conduct site inspections and troubleshoot issues 
  • Budget & Resource Management
    • Manage procurement of materials and equipment.
    • Monitor labor costs and project expenditures.
    • Negotiate contracts and timelines 
  • Documentation & Reporting
    • Maintain detailed records of project progress. LOTS of paperwork!
    • Report regularly to the HVAC Operations Manager, Finance Team, and President

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years experience as an HVAC Project Manager 
    • Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment, and maintenance requirements
    • Strong understanding of project management principles
    • RFI submittals
    • Oversee remote projects
    • Exceptional communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills
    • Strong attention to detail with paperwork
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
    • Proficiency with project management software
    • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various job sites
    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, PMP / PMI or related training (preferred but not required)

    Work Environment: This role includes both office work and field work.  You will be required to perform office work before and after field working hours to complete the required tasks of the project.

    Reporting Structure: Reports to the HVAC Operations Manager, Finance Team, and to the President
