Job description

The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for assisting in all aspects of construction project coordination.

  • Assisting Project Managers with plan reviews, contract documents, and project requirements.
  • Supporting bidding and estimating
  • Regular site visits to support project progress and coordination with field staff
  • Assist in maintaining project schedules, subcontractor scopes, contracts, etc.
  • Track, review, distribute submittals
  • Assist with RFIs and plan updates
  • Other tasks as assigned

General Requirements:

1. Be capable in Excel, Word, MS Project, Outlook, and Procore

2. Thorough knowledge of legal issues and safety standards.

3. Strong managerial and leadership skills.

4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

5. Ability to remain flexible and efficient in a fast-paced environment

6. Ability to make intelligent and quick decisions, working well under pressure, and when faced with unexpected occurrences or delays.

7. Thorough understanding of engineering, architectural, and other construction drawings.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors in Construction Management or equivalent or 1-3 yrs experience in construction project management
  • Self-starter, able to work in a fast-paced environment in order to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills - both oral, written and via emails
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of subcontractor companies in various areas and ability to locate/develop new subcontractors
  • Able to read an interpret plans and specifications
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, MS Project, Outlook
  • Experience with Procore is a plus
  • Must provide at least 3 job related references
