Job description

About Us

QISG leverages Quanta's comprehensive resources to deliver collaborative solutions for our partners' energy infrastructure needs. We use in-house talent, expertise and resources to plan, design, engineer, manage, conduct maintenance on and construct projects.

Our turnkey service capabilities provide our customers with efficiency, consistency, attention to detail and safe execution. The QISG team brings together Engineering, Safety, Quality, Material Procurement, QA/QC, Right-of-Way Acquisition, Scheduling, Environmental Planning, Permitting, Title and Land Management expertise that ensure outstanding results for our clients.

About this Role

QISG is seeking a Project Executive to lead our largest and most complex programs, typically $500 million or more and involving multiple Quanta operating companies. Engaged during pursuit, this leader shapes delivery strategy, supports estimate and contract reviews, establishes the program baseline before mobilization, and remains accountable through execution and closeout.

The Project Executive is the program's single point of accountability for safety, financial performance, schedule, customer outcomes, and team effectiveness. This role brings together Quanta operating companies and leaders across development, engineering, procurement, construction, controls, contracts, quality, operational performance, finance, safety, and training to deliver an integrated One Quanta experience.

What You'll Do
  • Lead delivery strategy from pursuit through closeout, including estimate and contract reviews, baseline development, mobilization readiness, execution, commissioning and start-up, and lessons learned.
  • Set and uphold a consistent program-wide safety standard, ensuring planning, sequencing, staffing, and schedule decisions protect the people performing the work.
  • Own the program P&L, budget, forecast, productivity, cash flow, and financial reporting; lead regular performance reviews and provide transparent, timely visibility to risk, change positions, claims, issues, and required decisions.
  • Independently validate cost and schedule by challenging productivity assumptions, sequencing, contingency, and change positions against the program's actual execution requirements.
  • Establish the controls and governance foundation before mobilization, including the baseline, work breakdown structure, cost codes, risk register, decision rights, escalation paths, and delegation of authority.
  • Build and lead a high-performing, integrated team across Quanta operating companies and disciplines; resolve resource, sequencing, scope, and organizational conflicts before they affect the customer.
  • Maintain a current, integrated view of safety, commercial, technical, schedule, and execution risk and drive timely mitigation.
  • Integrate engineering, procurement, construction, operations, finance, safety, training, quality, and commissioning so critical execution requirements are addressed early.
  • Serve as a primary customer contact and strategic advisor, aligning on program status, decisions, constraints, stakeholder requirements, and opportunities to improve delivery.
  • Develop future leaders through intentional staffing, clear accountability, coaching, and stretch opportunities; return talent to operating companies stronger than when they joined the program.
What You'll Bring
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in EPC or infrastructure construction across utility transmission and distribution, MEP, data centers, renewables, oil and gas facilities, underground utility, industrial, or large commercial construction.
  • 5+ years in a Project Executive, Project Director, senior operations, program controls, or similar leadership role on large, multidisciplinary programs.
  • Direct responsibility for estimating, contract negotiation, engineering, procurement, construction, project controls, financial performance, and client relationships.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Deep working knowledge of scheduling, cost control, forecasting, contract and change management, claims, cash flow, risk management, and coordination across multiple disciplines and subcontractors.
  • Strong business and commercial acumen, with the credibility to contribute during pursuits, estimate reviews, and contract negotiations before a deal is signed.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead across organizational boundaries and align multiple companies, functions, and stakeholders around shared outcomes.
  • Executive presence and communication skills to engage senior leadership, operating company presidents, customers, and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with enterprise scheduling, cost control, and program reporting platforms.

Preferred Experience

  • Senior EPC leadership on programs of $500 million or more.
  • Experience as a Project Executive or Deputy Project Executive during a live pursuit and subsequent execution.
  • Program controls leadership or experience as a senior projects or operations leader, operating company functional leader, or cross-company integrator.
  • Experience with unit rate, fixed-price lump sum, cost-plus, target cost or price, progressive EPC, guaranteed maximum price, consortium, or joint venture delivery models.

Work Environment and Travel

  • This role requires approximately 50% travel and regular onsite presence with project teams and customers. Critical program phases may require substantially more travel or extended hours.
  • The role also requires the ability to work in and around active heavy construction and energy infrastructure environments and wear required PPE.
What You'll Get
  • Competitive Compensation
  • Comprehensive Health Coverage - Multiple Medical, dental & vision plans with 100% preventive care
  • 24/7 telehealth (Teladoc)
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Company-funded HSA and pre-tax savings options
  • 401(k) Retirement Plan
  • No-cost Short- and Long-term Disability
  • Employer-paid basic Life & AD&D Insurance
  • Paid Time off (PTO) and 10 Paid Holidays
  • Paid Parental leave
  • Education Reimbursement and Professional Development
  • Employee discount program and optional insurance offerings:
    • Identity Theft Protection
    • Accident Insurance
    • Voluntary Life (spouse and child)
    • Critical Illness
    • Hospital Indemnity
    • Pet Insurance
