Job Description:

We have an opportunity for a Production Planner to join our Ashland, OH team. You will plan and establish production schedules for assigned manufacturing cells considering inventory availability, customer demand and sequence of products to create efficient plans.
You will:
  • Plan and schedule workflow for assigned manufacturing cell, considering efficient product sequence, work cell capacity, and product lead times to ensure minimum downtime.
  • Keep purchasing / supply chain updated with special orders and upcoming needs. Recognize changes in order patterns and alert support teams accordingly.
  • Track progress on production schedule and review factors which affect schedules to minimize rescheduling and past due orders.
  • Identify repeat problems and work with team to recommend and implement solutions.
  • Expedite purchase components through purchasing and supply chain to ensure production schedules are attained.
  • Confer with departments and attend production meetings (manufacturing cell, customer service, order entry etc.) to determine status of assigned schedule and relay appropriate information.
  • Participate in engineering project teams to plan the phase in and phase out of products on the line.
  • Utilize system tools to efficiently analyze data, keeping all appropriate records and systems current (SAP, Excel, Word, and capacity tools etc.).

Key Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Production and inventory planning experience.
  • Be able to prioritize daily work based on a wide variety of information.
  • Utilize good judgment.
  • Be able to use basic math skills as needed to support capacity planning requirements.
  • Be knowledgeable of MRP systems, capacity planning, production planning and manufacturing processes.
  • Be proficient in MS Suite (Word, Excel).

Compensation:
For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $61200 - $113600 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as, annual incentive bonus.
