Production Planner
Location: On-Site
Compensation: $100,000 - $120,000
Employment Type: Full-Time
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and driven Electronics Production Planner to join our manufacturing team. In this critical role, you will own the production scheduling and planning processes for electronic components and assemblies - coordinating everything from raw material procurement through finished product delivery. You will be a key operational voice on the floor, partnering with supply chain, engineering, and manufacturing teams to keep production running efficiently, on time, and to standard.
This is a high-visibility role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves, and takes pride in building systems that actually work.
What You'll Do
Build and maintain detailed production schedules using ERP systems, balancing capacity, inventory levels, and customer delivery requirements
Partner with supply chain and procurement to ensure timely arrival of all materials, components, and parts needed for production
Monitor daily production progress, proactively identify bottlenecks, and drive corrective actions to protect delivery commitments
Run MRP processes to forecast material needs, optimize inventory levels, and reduce waste through lean manufacturing principles
Work closely with the manufacturing floor to identify and implement process improvements that boost productivity, quality, and safety
Analyze supply chain data and production metrics to support continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives
Apply mechanical knowledge of electronic assembly processes to support troubleshooting and workflow optimization across plant operations
5+ years of production planning or scheduling experience in an electronics or manufacturing environment, with hands-on proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Epicor, or similar) including scheduling and MRP modules
Strong working knowledge of MRP methodology, lean manufacturing, and process improvement techniques, with the ability to manage competing priorities and make sound decisions in a fast-moving, high-pressure setting
Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with electronic assembly processes and plant floor operations, with the ability to apply that knowledge to troubleshooting and workflow optimization
Strong cross-functional communicator who can collaborate effectively across procurement, engineering, quality, and operations - with a Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Supply Chain Management and/or APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) preferred
