Job description

Snelling Staffing is seeking a highly organized individual to join the office team of a fabrication company with the Port Allen area. Our client is looking for a Production Planner to help develop and maintain production schedules that align with customer demands, inventory levels, and capacity constraints. The right candidate will need great communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft Excel, and experience with ERP/MRP planning systems in a manufacturing environment. Our client is offering a full-time schedule working from 6:00am-2:00pm with a pay range from $20-$25 per hour depending on experience.
Position Duties:
  • Develop detailed production schedules using ERP/MRP planning systems to meet delivery deadlines and optimize resource allocation
  • Coordinate with procurement, inventory, quality control, and operations teams to ensure seamless supply chain management and assembly processes
  • Monitor production progress daily including identifying potential bottlenecks and implementing corrective actions
  • Analyze supply chain logistics to optimize material flow, reduce lead times, and improve manufacturing throughput
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel to evaluate production data, identify trends, and support process improvement initiatives

Position Requirements:
  • Previous experience with ERP/MRP planning systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Expert verbal and written communication skills
  • Being bilingual (English/Spanish) is GREATLY PREFERRED!!
