Job description

Job Description
The Procurement Specialist is responsible for supporting end-to-end purchasing and sourcing activities, including supplier coordination, commercial negotiations, and order execution, to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery of materials and services. This role partners closely with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Production Planning to support new product introductions, engineering changes, and ongoing operational requirements while ensuring compliance with procurement, quality, trade, and HSE standards. The position plays a key role in driving supplier performance, supporting cost and lead-time improvement initiatives, and applying technical and commercial knowledge to support informed procurement decisions.
Responsibilities
  • Supports regional and global procurement teams
  • Creates, processes, tracks, expedites and manages purchase requisitions and orders throughout their lifecycles
  • Drives procurement execution by expediting orders to meet delivery schedules, internal customer requirements, and operational objectives
  • Acts as primary liaison with suppliers
  • Supports Quality Assurance requirements by coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to address quality issues, non-conformances, and corrective actions
  • Obtains and evaluates supplier quotations and selects suppliers based on performance, cost, and commercial considerations
  • Identifies and supports cost-reduction and lead-time improvement initiatives through supplier collaboration, sourcing strategies, and procurement data analysis
  • Validates pricing accuracy and cost competitiveness
  • Negotiates pricing, terms, and supply agreements in a firm, professional, and diplomatic manner
  • Analyzes and resolves invoice and payment discrepancies
  • Supports inventory control and goods receiving activities
  • Supports supplier qualification and performance processes, including participation in vendor audits and maintenance of approved supplier lists, in coordination with Quality and Supply Chain
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Production Planning, and Quality to ensure material compatibility, availability, and compliance with design and technical standards
  • Maintains accurate and organized procurement records and documentation
  • Ensures compliance with procurement policies and procedures
  • Supports import and temporary export processes for international repairs in coordination with Trade Compliance and regional procurement teams
  • Participate in supplier and supply chain review meetings
  • Represents the organization professionally with suppliers
  • Supports new product introductions and engineering changes by aligning procurement activities with development and manufacturing timelines

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business , Engineering, or related field preferred, or 2-4 years of progressive procurement experience
  • CPSM, CPIM, PMP, or similar professional certifications preferred
