Position Overview
The Patient Access Manager will oversee all aspects of patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and financial counseling. This role is critical to ensuring a seamless patient experience and optimizing revenue cycle performance. You’ll lead a team of access specialists, implement best practices, and collaborate cross-functionally to drive results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage daily operations of the Patient Access department across multiple service lines
  • Ensure accurate and timely patient registration, insurance verification, and authorization processes
  • Monitor KPIs and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and patient satisfaction
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate staff performance; foster a culture of accountability and service excellence
  • Collaborate with Revenue Cycle, Clinical, and IT teams to streamline workflows and resolve barriers
  • Stay current with regulatory requirements, payer policies, and compliance standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • 3+ years of leadership experience in patient access or revenue cycle operations
  • Strong knowledge of EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) and insurance workflows
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage change, and drive performance metrics
