Clearance: Active DoD Secret Clearance
Work Schedule: Onsite Monday-Friday, Fulltime.
Role Overview:
The Joint Interoperability & Data Link Training Center (JID-TC) seeks an Adult Education Specialist to support curriculum development and maintenance for advanced Joint Tactical Data Link (TDL) training programs. This role will work closely with the Instructional Systems Designer (ISD) and training staff to ensure courseware remains current, relevant, and aligned with Department of Defense (DoD) standards. The ideal candidate will have expertise in adult learning principles, curriculum design, and strong proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS), particularly Moodle.

Specific Skillset
  • Assist ISD in updating and maintaining JID-TC course catalog and curriculum documentation (lesson plans, instructor guides, student guides, practical exercises).
  • Support implementation of quarterly and annual curriculum updates per the Curriculum Control Plan (CCP).
  • Incorporate feedback from Courseware Change Requests (CCRs) and End-of-Course critiques into curriculum revisions.
  • Maintain practical exercises and scenarios aligned with current operational and future threat environments.
  • Serve as primary Moodle manager for course creation, content management, enrollment, grading, and student progress tracking.
  • Transition historical student records into Moodle and maintain accurate databases for trend analysis and compliance.
  • Integrate interactive web tools (chat, VOIP, online testing, grading) into LMS environment.
  • Provide technical support and training to staff and students on Moodle operations.
  • Apply adult learning theory and instructional best practices to enhance course effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with ISD and SMEs to ensure instructional materials meet DoD standards, SCORM compliance, and accessibility requirements.
  • Support development of distance learning modules and multimedia enhancements.
  • Assist in maintaining automated critique programs for course evaluations.
  • Ensure version control and documentation for all course materials.

Requirements
Education & Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Adult Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related field.

Experience Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years in adult education, curriculum development, or instructional systems design.
  • Strong proficiency with Moodle and other LMS platforms.
  • Familiarity with DoD training standards and SCORM compliance.
  • Knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional methodologies (e.g., ADDIE).
  • Excellent organizational, writing, and editing skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
  • Experience with military training programs or TRADOC standards is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Joint Tactical Data Link operations and terminology is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Cloud is preferred.
