Job description

MICROSOFT DYNAMICS AX ADMINISTRATOR
Location: Long Beach, CA/Garden Grove, CA area, F/T, in-office and/or hybrid
$125K
Microsoft Dynamics AX Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize our Microsoft Dynamics AX
system. The ideal candidate will ensure the systems reliability, performance, and alignment with
business needs, supporting end-users and driving process improvements. This role requires technical
expertise, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to system administration.
Key Responsibilities
System Administration: Manage and maintain the Microsoft Dynamics AX environment, including
system configuration, user access, security roles, and workflows.
Troubleshooting & Support: Provide Tier 2/3 support for Dynamics AX users, resolving technical issues,
and escalating complex problems to vendors or consultants as needed.
Performance Optimization: Monitor system performance, apply patches, and implement updates to
ensure optimal functionality and minimal downtime.
Data Management: Oversee data integrity, perform regular backups, and execute data imports/exports
to support business operations.
Process Improvement: Collaborate with business units to identify and implement enhancements,
customizations, and integrations to meet evolving needs.
Training & Documentation: Develop user guides, conduct training sessions, and maintain documentation
for system processes and configurations.
Compliance & Security: Ensure compliance with internal policies and industry regulations, maintaining
robust security measures within the AX environment.
Vendor Coordination: Work with external consultants and Microsoft partners to support system
upgrades, migrations, or third-party integrations.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience:
3+ years of experience administering Microsoft Dynamics AX (2012 or later preferred).
Proven track record in system configuration, troubleshooting, and user support.
Experience with SQL Server, SSRS, or Power BI is a plus.
Technical Skills:

Mfg site has 300 employees plus 1 MS Dynamics AX technician and 1 outside AX consultant. Great visibility. Local candidates only as position is in-house with opportunity for some hybrid work. No relocation.
