About the RoleGrower Direct Farms is hiring a Human Resources Coordinator to support high-volume recruiting, onboarding, and HR operations for our greenhouse and field-based workforce.
This is a hands-on, execution-focused role responsible for getting employees hired quickly, onboarded correctly, and supported throughout their employment. You will work directly for the Head of Human Resources and play a key role in maintaining efficient HR processes.
Key ResponsibilitiesRecruiting & Onboarding- Post jobs, screen applicants, and coordinate interviews
- Conduct new hire onboarding and orientation
- Prepare and process new hire documentation and personnel files
- Ensure compliance with I-9 and onboarding requirements
HR Operations & Employee Support- Maintain accurate employee records in ADP Workforce Now
- Answer employee and supervisor HR questions (policies, benefits, payroll support)
- Assist with employee offboarding and termination processes
- Support benefits enrollment during open enrollment
Safety & Compliance- Lead safety-related administrative functions
- Serve as primary contact for injury reporting and tracking
- Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory requirements
Administrative Support- Assist payroll processing and coordination as needed
- Support office operations during peak periods (phones, visitors, general admin tasks)
QualificationsRequired- 2+ years of experience in HR coordination, recruiting, or onboarding
- Current experience using ADP Workforce Now (or similar HRIS/payroll system)
- Bilingual English/Spanish (required)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Preferred- Experience supporting hourly, seasonal, or high-volume workforces
- Background in agriculture, manufacturing, distribution, or field operations
- Experience with training, onboarding programs, or safety initiatives
