Job description

Machine Operator Palletizer - Night Shift
Join our dynamic food manufacturing team at Diamond Pet Foods as a Machine Operator specializing as a Palletizer! Opening is for Night Shift with working hours of 4:00 pm - 4:20 am. This energetic role offers an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment in a fast/reasonable-paced, quality and safety-focused environment. You will be instrumental in monitoring the palletizer, ensuring high-quality product stacking for storage and shipping. Duties may also include performing routine maintenance on equipment, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring consistent production standards. If you thrive in a hands-on setting and are passionate about precision manufacturing, this position is perfect for you! $20.00 per hour
Plus $2.50 per hour night shift differential

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Monitor and operate palletizing machinery.
  • Perform routine adjustments and changeovers. Specifically, pallet configuration, pallet centering, and wrap tension.
  • Responsible for moving full pallets and storing them properly without damaging them.
  • Perform routine maintenance on the machinery and troubleshoot minor operating issues.
  • Responsible for always keeping pallets and cardboard available to the palletizer.
  • Understand and comply with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), GMP's, and HACCP.
  • Working overtime is MANDATORY and requires full participation.
  • Keep work area clean and maintain assigned portion of master sanitation schedule.
  • Report all safety violations and hazards to the supervisor immediately and participate in all safety programs and procedures. Must always wear required PPE.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned by the supervisor to be accepted with a positive and professional attitude.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must hold a valid driver's license.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment screening (drug screen, background check, and physical.)
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and easily get on and off forklifts.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Work is primarily performed indoors and outdoors near operating equipment, loud noises, and loose particles.
  • Work performed requires employees to operate in all different temperatures and with extended standing time.
  • Employees are required to wear a bump cap, hearing protection, safety shoes/boots, and safety glasses at all times.
