Our Ingredients divisions supply every major food and beverage manufacturer in North America with the fruits from the best growing regions of the world. Our CPG division sells market-leading branded and private label freeze-dried fruits to retailers nationwide.
We are seeking a full-time International Transportation Coordinator to join our talented team!
Position Summary:
The International Transportation Coordinator will provide critical support for Brothers International Food Holdings, LLC, in managing international logistics across all major modes of transportation (excluding inland). This role ensures the seamless movement of goods by coordinating with sales, operations, carriers, and third-party logistics providers. The ideal candidate will balance tactical execution with strategic support - while obtaining competitive rates, managing carrier relationships, monitoring performance, and driving continuous improvement to deliver exceptional service and cost efficiency for our customers.
Essential Functions:
  • Obtain rate quotes across multiple modes as requested by Sales and Operations. Present solutions, outlining trade-offs between cost, transit time, and service level.
  • Book and manage international shipments (ocean, air, LCL, FCL, temperature-controlled) while ensuring timely and accurate communication with all stakeholders.
  • Work with Operations teams to resolve issues related to freight ready dates, ISF information, shipping documents, etc.
  • Act as key liaison for third-party Purchase Order Management initiative.
  • Work with ERP and business analysts to optimize integration, data flows, and visibility across logistics systems.
  • Support freight audit team to resolve billing and invoicing discrepancies.
  • Monitor KPI's for all core service providers and participate in Quarterly Business Reviews.
  • Lead initiatives such as Value Stream Mapping to identify opportunities for efficiency, cost reduction, and enhanced service. Champion change management and best practices across the supply chain.
  • Monitor business climate related to international transportation and provide updates to Logistics, Operations and Sales teams.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Equivalent business experience will be considered.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience managing ocean and air freight transportation including import, export, and foreign-foreign trade lanes.
  • ERP (Oracle's NetSuite) and TMS integration experience preferred.
  • Experience in the freight forwarding industry preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Knowledge of ocean various transportation modes including air freight, LCL, FCL, including carriage of temperature controlled/frozen containers.
  • Knowledge of international import and export operations
  • Performance management of ocean carriers including development of Key Performance Indicators and Quarterly Business Reviews.
  • Knowledge of Shippers Associations and cooperatives.
  • Familiarity with CBP rules, HTS classification and Incoterms.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written/oral communications skills, including employee development and conflict resolution.
  • Proven problem-solving, critical thinking, and process improvement skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
