Full-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 6:00am - 2:30pm
OVERVIEW:
Working as Full-time Manufacturing Tool Room-Carbide Die Finisher/Tool Crib Machinist, you will be responsible for making, altering and repairing a wide range of carbide dies and integrated parts generally for use on heading machines.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
o Planning and performing a variety of roughing out, boring, facing, turning, lapping, finishing and grinding operations to make, alter and repair a wide range of carbide dies and integrated parts generally for use on heading machines
o Fabricating special tools for the Research and Development department occasionally
o Setting up and operating bench lathe for precise and difficult machining using diamond, diamond dust and paste or other abrasive materials
o Selecting, installing and adjusting tool compounds and tail stock and making necessary brass arbors and laps
o Checking work with fixed and adjustable measuring instruments to maintain very close tolerances and making necessary adjustments to ensure conformance with specifications
o Instructing and/or assisting employees and other operators as needed
o Following all safety rules and regulations
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:
o 18 years of age or older, due to the nature of work
o Prior experience working with machinery and tooling
o Excellent written and oral communication skills
o Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
o Demonstrate an excellent safety record
o Read and interpret written instructions
o Demonstrate basic math skills including decimals and fractions
o Desire to continuously improve manufacturing processes
o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
o Work independently as well as in a team environment
o Demonstrate strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
o Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
o Demonstrate strong attention to detail and quality
o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
o Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs
o Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)
