Job description

The North America team is currently looking for an Administrative Clerk to join our Taylorville, IL facility.
The Administrative Clerk plays a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and support to visitors, employees, and leaders at the Taylorville, IL facility. This role provides general office and receptionist support through a variety of clerical activities and related tasks. As the first-person visitors and customers meet, this position is responsible for creating a professional and welcoming experience while representing Grain & Protein Technologies
Your Impact
  • Answer the phone in a professional manner and direct calls to the correct offices
  • Greet and assist visitors and connect them with the appropriate employee
  • Help maintain workplace security by issuing, checking, and collecting badges and maintaining the visitor log
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail
  • Complete data entry for Purchase Requisitions
  • Scan credits, bills of landing, delivery tickets, and related documentation
  • Book travel arrangements
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and order as needed
  • Maintaining a filing system
  • Maintain the attendance line and log
  • Assist in planning and preparation of company events
  • Support the team with assigned project work
  • Minimal local travel or travel to other facilities as needed

Your Experience and Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 years of experience as an Administrative Clerk or in a related field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with administrative and clerical procedures
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills

Your Compensation and Benefits
  • Expected total compensation for this role will be $17.86-$23.81 per hour depending upon job related knowledge, experience, and skills

Your Workplace
You will be working onsite role based in Taylorville, IL.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee works with or near to moving trucks, trailers and fork trucks and near large machinery and equipment daily. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The employee is exposed to a variety of extreme conditions including temperatures ranging from 40ยฐF to 105ยฐF.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands or arms. The employee must be able to stand for up to twelve hours per day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
