Job description

Demi is an intimate 20-seat, tasting menu only restaurant in the North Loop of Downtown Minneapolis. Our entire team, including culinary, hospitality, and dishwashing professionals, is only 20 people.

Demi is open Wednesday through Sunday. This is a Full-Time position requiring 4 dinner service shifts per week.

We are looking for a Full-Time Chef de Partie who has:
  • A warm and positive demeanor with colleagues and guests alike
  • Ability to work independently while also actively supporting other team members throughout the restaurant
  • Ability to stay focused and organized, prioritizing multiple tasks and maintaining careful attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively communicate, give and take constructive criticism, and work productively as a team
  • Comfort with actively engaging with guests during service
  • 1+ years of fine dining or upscale restaurant experience
Responsibilities include:
  • Keep walk-in and dry storage neatly organized and make sure items are properly labeled and dated per Minnesota Department of Health requirements
  • Maintain FIFO (first in, first out) organization
  • Communicate when ordered product is missing or out of stock and help the chef team find a solution
  • Assist chef team to be ready for service on time
  • Deliver steps of service in partnership with the hospitality team to provide each guest with a personal, memorable dining experience
  • Support the rest of the team, including dishwashing, as needed
Requirements:
  • Weekend availability
  • Written and verbal English language fluency
  • Ability to stand on your feet for up to 10-12 hours
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
